Art is of Time and through the Senses Time is Realized.
by Connie Savage Thiewes
"Be in the Present," or "of the Moment," we've all heard the age old wisdom but what part of your life does it exist?
Time is what you make of it. Some prefer to be pushed by the clock and schedule. Others find no time for all they need to get done. What if you could simply go to a store and buy more time? How much would be enough?
Technology has created multi-tasking tools, time organizing wizards and instant messenger which frees up more time.
As the creator of "more time" it is up to you to make sense of it. Cultivating the senses of time fortifies the harvest technology made possible.
A evening full of artwork created to stimulate the senses embodied in floral arts, gentle music, homemade biscotti and wine biscuits topped off with Mostly Chocolates, Wine and Dark Canyon Organic Coffees. 4:30 - 9:00 please join!

September 7th, 4:30 - 9:00, 320 7th Street, Rapid City, SD
An evening engaging you in the senses of time.
Bee of Time
Ever wonder what a bee does first thing in the morning?
...Where to go?
...What flower to hit first?
...When works best to go?
I think not. It simply awakens as the day and begins.

Check back periodically for new additions to the evening and sneak peaks of the artwork. Connie Savage Thiewes Live music by Cassie Thiewes of Sioux Falls

Fields provide a wide assortment of color, light and space to
take a breath. This image will become the backdrop for
3 separate 5 x 5" paintings evolving from creation to celebration of life
titled, "Beginnings".

Hard at work with Bailey overseeing our project.

As I stopped "to smell the flowers", shot the photo for a future painting the bumble bee backed out of the narrow passage to the flower's nectar. The night of September 7th will provide all those who attend a similar sensation. Richness in taste, sight, touch, smell and sound will make its way through the inviting and creative environment staged everyday at Victoria's Garden. |
